They just want to sell the photo mode and the graphics to get people to drop money on it. I've spent almost 200 dollars on this poorly made piece of crap. BUT as a Simulator it's a push button go and stop simulator that isn't even very well put together from a finished stand point. It's a pretty game, the camera views are nice. only to find out that the Speed Limits on the route don't match the speed limits on the arcade style HUD, so if I don't want use the stupid hud filling up a quarter of my screen and try to get an immersive sim experience the "simulator" thinks I'm speeding half the time wen I'm following exactly what is indicated in the world and not what I'm just being told to do in by the HUD. So I start playing the timetable and have to figure out how the shit works myself because half of what I need to know about the breaks isn't in the tutorials. I sure has hell won't be wasting that much money on any of their other DLCs, if that's the measure of the pride in their product, or commitment to fixing their bugs. it's been a known problem since TSW 2 and they didn't bother fixing it before re-selling it in TSW4 for 30 dollars? Yeah fuck these crooks. So I look online, and found Reddit posts about this from 2021. Turns out the Tutorial is broken, the scenario "Breaking: Theory" which is supposed to teach you how to apply the different break types correctly doesn't even have the breaks operational, so you get half way through the tutorial and it hangs up because it asks you to apply breaks that don't actually exist in the sim model and then because of that fuck up, won't let you advance. I picked up the "Sand Patch Grade" route for 30 bucks and the locomotive it's supposed to go with for another $20 because I like CSX and I work with them from time to time IRL. Joke's on me, I bought the big fancy $99.99 TSW4 package on steam, figuring I'd get the old stuff from TSW3 and 2 included upon release.
